ELF Baked Blushes in Rich Rose, Passion Pink & Pinktastic Review + Swatches

Elf Baked Blush (1)

Sooooo…..I love these! A LOT. I’ve actually never tried an ELF cheek product. Their studio lines for the cheeks just didn’t interest me, so when they came out with baked blushes and bronzers (my next review) I was too excited to get my hands on these. I have 3 of the 4 shades. Before I go into each shade, I want to discuss the amazingness of this product.

Pros: The powder is silky, smooth and pigmented. I was very surprised at this, because I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t have high hopes for these. The second I smoothed my fingers over these blushes, I instantly got so much color.

Cons: I’m not a fan of the packaging. It’s pretty flimsy and seems like it can break for a baked product. Also, it seems kind of small. The bronzers and blushes are the same size, which doesn’t sit well with me (I always feel like all bronzers should be big though lol). Although I love the colors, I wish there was a bigger difference in some of the colors. They all look similar to me. These are all minor to me though.

Rich Rose

My favorite shade!! It’s a beautiful terracotta-pink. PERFECT for deeper skin tones and not too harsh for lighter skin tones. To me, this is the prettiest of the bunch. This is a year-round shade to me, but pops in the Summer and the Fall. I’m currently wearing this and love the glow I’m getting on my cheeks :)

Passion Pink

I didn’t think I would like this shade, but I really like it! It’s a light pink, but this pink is a universal shade. It’s obviously a Spring and Summer shade, but the pink still stands out against my skin tone. This is also the most pigmented shade. Gorgeous!

Pinktastic

This one will obviously be used as a highlighter! It’s so bright! It looks like a shimmery pearl, but there is some pink in there! I This is a great highlighter shade, because of the pink in it. It’s very subtle, but so pretty. You can see it more on the cheeks than you can the arm swatches.

  1. I never knew what it meant when bloggers say they used it “wet” , what is that concept?

      Hi Lana,

Baked products are perfect to use wet because they provide higher coverage and intensity. To use it wet, you would dip your brush into water (wiping off excess dripping water) and then dip it into the baked product. You’ll see a huge difference when you do this! It’s done with all baked products, so eyeshadows, blushes and even baked face powders (like MSF) are great to use wet :)

  2. These baked blushes looks awesome! I’m not really keen on ELF products, I’ve tried them in the past and been disappointed of them all.. But base from these swatches of yours :) I really want to get these, look so beautiful!

They are really amazing! I’m like that with ELF, too. I just tried their concealer palette and threw it away, because it was so bad. These baked blushes are worth a look though :)
