One can say that I’m quite obsessed with the nautical look. I love everything about it, because looking at my outfit reminds me of a relaxing day on a boat or a yacht! The classic red shoes to go along with the classic blue and white ensemble will never get old to me. I mean, we all day dream about a random invitation to go on someone’s yacht right?
The makeup for nautical looks are pretty easy to pull off as well–

Eyes
I would keep the eyes simple, by doing a winged eye only on the top lid and keeping the eyes nude. If you want to add some eyeshadow, go with a color that matches your skin tone. I would accentuate the lashes by using a mascara that really makes the eyes pop like Benefit’s “They’re Real!” mascara or Yves St. Laurent’s “Shocking” lashes. Maybelline mascaras are good too if you are on a budget. Falsies Flared and One by One are my all-time favorites!
Lips
Who doesn’t love a red lip with a nautical outfit? Nude would also do, but red lips are so sexy. Kate Moss’s lipstick collection for Rimmel has an amazing red shade that is suitable for all skin tones!
Face
Keep the face equally as simple with a light application of foundation like Lancome’s Teinte Idole Ultra 24 hour wear. It ensures that it will stay on all day! For a cheaper version, Revlon’s Colorstay foundation is one of my favorite drugstore foundations ever. Also, opt for bronzer instead of blush for a sunkissed glow. Stila’s bronzer is awesome and works on all skin tones. People similar to my skin tone will love the bronzer. If you are a bit darker, I would skip it.
I’m ready to head out on a boat after all this nautical talk! For right now, my mind will just have to do
