"Your hair looks amazing, girl!"
I was surfing the pages of Yahoo! a couple of days ago, when I came across this article about what men and women notice on dates. As my curiosity peeked, I found a few interesting statements:

According to a recent survey conducted by Pantene, 60% of men surveyed would rather date a woman with great hair than noticeable curves — and 74% of them said they notice a woman because of her hair. In fact, a full 44% of male respondents said that hair was the first thing they notice about a woman… even before her clothes (26%), legs (25%) and makeup (4%). Most of the men who took Pantene’s poll also said they’d be more likely to approach a woman at a bar with great hair than one who was wearing a low-cut shirt.
Now get this:
Researchers tracked the eye movements of 50 men and discovered that that in the 10 seconds after meeting a woman for the first time, the average guy will spend more than half of his time gazing at her mouth. If she’s applied lipstick, he’ll find it even more difficult to look away: a dash of pink can hold his attention for 6.7 seconds, while red keeps him fixated for 7.3 seconds. According to the study, fuller pouts were the overall preference, though the appeal of thin-lipped women increased by 40% when lipstick was applied — but when the ladies went completely bare, men tired of looking at their mouths after only 2.2 seconds.
Although I’m skeptical about some of the claims made in this article (after all, Pantene conducted the study), there are some truths. I do believe that hair is a big indicator, but I don’t think it’s to the degree that Pantene suggests. We fully never know with studies, because we are not aware of the sample size, the questions being asked and in what manner the questions are being asked.
As far as the lipstick goes, I do agree. I am a lipstick fanatic and every time I go out with friends, I recommend they add lipstick to their outfit. They are mostly reluctant, but when they do, they thank me for it! Lipstick in general adds a great touch to your outfit and there is something about a red lip that is classy, sexy, sultry and confident! Name another product that can do that and I’ll throw away my whole lip collection! (Totally kidding!)
I never take these articles seriously, because that’s one more point for the “magazines-feeding-into-women-insecurity” column. No one truly knows what a guy likes. If that were the case, people would take the advice and go on their marry way! (pun intended) Yet, I do find these articles interesting for the mere fact of curiosity.

I also like how in this article you took into account sample size and how the questions were shaped (I’m a psych student, lol), because a lot of times people don’t consider these things when they read these statistics I also like all of your lipstick swatches on your brown skin (it helps!).
